Pancho
I whipped up the assets for a Western platformer for a game jam last month. I’ve posted bits of information on it across Twitter and other channels, but I figure I ought to consolidate the project’s progress here.
I completed all animation, sound and music for the project, but unfortunately the game’s programming was never completed.
Bits of its graphical assets can be seen at the top of the page, and the game’s soundtrack can be viewed below.
Creativity
Of course I draw myself drawing when I can’t think of what to draw. I’m trying to do two things here - 1) draw much, much faster, and I think it shows with the peculiar and rushed coloring job, and 2) draw more loosely - and this goes hand in hand with drawing faster, because usually I spend way to much time drawing and redrawing a single element until it’s ‘perfect’. I think it’s good not to worry about shape or perspective as much as I sometimes may though.

Alec Faulkner’s Totally Rad Elite Laser Task Force
This T-Shirt was designed and printed for a few friends and I, for our latest biannual laser-tag adventure.
This particular design presented some new challenges with regards to creating something that is intricate and visually appealing while only working with one color. Aside from teaching me a thing or two about monochromatism – this design also allowed me to dabble in typography, a nice break from the traditionally graphic nature of most of my work.
